What can I expect on our first appointment?

This is a working appointment, therefore we do charge our normal hourly rate, which depends on the need for organization, home staging, or both.

A tour of the area(s) is necessary to fully understand the steps, and time needed, to complete the assignment. We realize the client's time is important, therefore we advise them our initial appointment has a 3 hour minimum. This alloted time includes, an assessment, a tour of the area(s), the client's vision for the space, suggestions and ideas about how to correct, and enhance the space, and also completion of a smaller project so the client can immediately the "light at the end of the tunnel".

This process included in this inital appointment has been deemed extremely effective. Clients have said their hope is restored, and the sense of accomplishment is ever-present.

Is it normal to feel unsure that I might need an Organizer?

Yes! This is a normal response. No one person can meet today's demands alone. We all need a helping hand. We are here to support overwhelmed people who realize they cannot do it all, nor do they want to! This is the exact reason Order by Design, Inc. was created! What exactly is Home Staging?

Home staging is a process of rearranging, removing, and or purchasing furniture, art, lamps, and accessories, to either maximize living space, accent ceiling height, or simply give "flow" to a room. Requests for home staging, for the purpose of selling it, is highly requested in today's market. There are clients who simply want their home to look as if they're about to sell!

Tasteful placement of accessories above kitchen cabinets, if cabinets are positioned to need that, proper placement of plates or glasses inside glass cabinets, or just a statement piece on the coffee table, can give the home that "showroom" feel.
